With how competitive the western conference is already I would say it would take a miracle. They're an above average team with not enough depth to compete with the other teams. Also, with the issues of the franchise and the owner unwilling to spend much money they won't be improving their position other than the draft.
Right now the top choices for the playoffs are: Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston, Memphis, Sacramento and Denver. Houston improved quite a bit in the offseason, Minnesota did as well so they could fight for a playoff spot. Then add the Lakers will be their usual selves and who knows with Nelly leading the Warriors again.

Seattle didn't improve their rebounding/post issues this offseason. I don't see how they could possibly make the playoffs being shallow and lacking a big body.
The West is far too competitive and the Sonics won't even get to .500.

They have a ways to go. but this is the NBA you may never know. They have the best shooter in the league with Ray Allen, a good second scorer in Lewis, two good point guard with Watson and Ridnour, Wilcox is a great addition all they need is a average bench and a little defense. Also for Allen to have an MVP year which he will

Not any time soon. Allen is the cornerstone of the team, but he needs more role players to step up. Seattle's main issues to address are their rebounding as well as solidifying a soild center.

Not until they go through with their plan to move out of Seattle.
They almost did it this offseason. It will be a few years.
