I agree with comedies/feel good films.

"Airplane!" would be a great choice. That film always makes me laugh and cheers me up..and I've seen it loads of times.

I think you can not go wrong by watching Star Wars, Back to the Future One, Two and Three or may be Seven Samurai the one Arira Kurosawa directed.

If you want a girlie movie I recommend In Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette – it’s excellent when you’re generally feeling a bit rubbish.
Or you could get the box set of Friends – always cheers me up!

These are my favourites, i quite often sit down to a dozen or so of these when im sick, usually because i cant be bothered with anything else.

Ice Cold in Alex - the one that was used in the Carlsberg ad. Great cast( John Mills, Sylvia Sims, Anthony Quayle), good story.
