I love living in Italy, but there are a ton of everyday activities that are way harder to do then they are back home in the States. We decided to move off the Military base and rent an Italian home, and though our landlord's are very quick to deal with any problem we may accrue from the house, we don't have the same luxury from others! Getting our DSL hooked up over here took more then six months, the hook up for the phone took more then two months, and getting the lights changed over to our name was a task I have yet to recover from!
Driving is a lot more difficult. I've lived here for two years, I'll be here two more, and I don't think I'll ever truly adapt to their driving! I feel like I'm in the Indy 500 every time I get behind the wheal of my car!
Even eating out and shopping at the Italian stores can be hard. They take naps in the middle of the day and just close everything down for several hours! And many restaurants here don't even serve dinner until after 9, because the Italians eat so late.
Really, I do love it here. It can get frustrating, but I remind myself I'm in their country, therefor I need to adapt and respect their way of life. They are very wonderful people.

AS I do live in a foreign country, I'd have to say shopping, because the stores here are always closed for some reason or another. I always seem to go when they're closed.
And that includes pharmacies, too.
It's hard to get used to even after 10 years.
Driving's no big deal.
