My boyfriends Daughter called me 3 times on Monday just to tell me stupid jokes. She's only 5. Then her 3 year old brother needed to tell me something. I'm still not sure what it was about!
My boyfriend said "Wow you talk to them more than you talk to me." We both know that isn't true.
He's probably glad to have someone that will accept him and his kids. And someone that actually gets along with his kids. Maybe he thought you were getting upset over the kids calling you and he was trying to make it better. It doesn't sound like anything serious to me.
