Housework is natural for women
From a website I found (see source)

Hunting is no more natural to men than housework is to women. In one study of 224 different traditional cultures, there were 13 in which women hunted and 60 in which they fished. House-building was an exclusively female occupation in 36 cultures, while there were five in which men did all the cooking and a further 38 in which cooking was routinely done by either sex. In parts of Indonesia and Zaire it is the father who is expected to care for his infant child.

There is no any scientific or evolution reason for this but it could be attributed to the teachings of the scripture that says the husband should be the provider for the family while the wife is the home care taker. This doesn't imply though that men should not do houseworks. Position in the society has changed as well where women had taken many tasks apart from being home taker, men also need to change their outlook that houseworks are supposed to be for females only. Men of today do housework though there are still some who prefer to be treated as "king" while at home. This won't give the wife a feeling of being the "queen" but instead will give a feeling of getting insane. Houseworks are not that easy.

Yes. There even a reason men don't like to shop. In caveman times, men would go out on hunts to find big game to kill. They had a specific propose, to go find meat. They would leave the dwellings and go hunt. In modern times, when a man needs a new shirt, he just goes and gets it. Women would stay behind and take care of children, gather berries, and do housework. In modern times, women still have the instinct to do stay at home. And when women go shopping, it is like gathering berries, they take their time to make sure they've found the right stuff and collect a lot. As we are more removed from the old customs, the less drive there will be for women. Now obviously I've used a lot of generalizations.

Well, the evolutionary angle is interesting. So, it must go back to how society developed during the first few 100 thousand years humans were around, when the men were hunter/gatherers and the women took care of the cave and the children.
