It seems it was just recently that the whole democrat party had their panties in a bunch because the administration was trying to catch terrorists before they killed innocent Americans.

But now all of a sudden it is not an invasion of privacy or a violation of your rights to have George Soros listening to your email and IMs.

Does this all sound like the greatest example of hypocrisy in the world?

I think you're talking about the salacious and suggestive emails and IMs sent by Mark Foley to the young interns? There's no government intrusion in revealing these and there's no eavesdropping either. One party can disclose the contents of a message to others, including the authorities. Whenever a person talks to another, they are taking the chance that the second person will reveal the conversation to third parties.

The problem with the electronic eavesdropping is that the government is plucking messages from the air and from fiber optic cables without the knowledge of any of the parties and without the check on abuse of power that a court review or request for a warrant would provide.

I think it is a bunch b.s. that the Gov't has the power to do such snooping. Sounds like J.Edgar Hoover and his anti-communist campaign. And as the gentleman prior said,"That's not what the framers envisioned for humanity"

Unless you are starting off your emails with "to my good friend Osama Bin Laden"...or words to that effect...your emails are NOT being listened to. Stop listening to the rhetoric and actually read about what is going on.
