If i could go back i would eliminate pedophiles and killers before they had a chance to commit their crimes, kinda like minority report, it would make the world a lot safer and prevent others from even thinking about it. What would you do?

I would try to eliminate all crimes against race or religion.I would erase slavery from American history by stopping it at it's source, quell the Inquisition (saving the lives of many great people),stop Hitler and his genocide and try to find the root cause of the Holy wars in the middle east.Hopefully I would be able to pinpoint the single root cause for this line of thinking(though I don't believe there is one).I think many things that you listed would have never happened had these sick things never happened as well.I don't know if my answer fits the criteria you've listed

Even though such a question is not based in reality. Meaning to go back in time. I'll humor you for a moment. I'd go back in time to omit mistakes that caused my divorce. If my x had the same opportunity we'd still be together. ( Back to reality now ). Unfortunately you'd be doing a WHOLE lot of eliminating if you went back in time to just remove pedophiles and killers. Evil causes that young person male or female to eventually become a pedophile or killer, or any other tool for evil. If you think about it long enough all evil began with a thought in "lucifers heart" to exalt himself higher than God. Realize that the ultimate goal (IF) you could go back in time, should be, to FULLY eliminate the ROOT cause of ALL EVIL, since it obviously continues from generation, to generation, to generation destroying lives, and that would require you to go way, way, wayyy back and eliminate the devil himself. You might as well wish you were God for one day. Not to worry though, because the devils demise is a plan that WILL come to pass, and all evil WILL be eliminated some glorious day!

I love watching those movies where they go back in time to fix something and totally mess up everything. If you're going to go back why not go all the way to Adam and Eve and cuff Eve for chewing on that apple? Because-we want to evolve and learn things. Everything that happens has an effect on us and makes us who we are, unfortunately some of those things are bad. you can't fix the past but you can set your own future. What ever happens to you, good or bad, it's your choice how you react to it. You always have that, even when it hits the fan and goes all to hell.

i would go back and make sure my Mum hadnt got the defective gene or whatever it is that gave her MS. I would also go back and do a few things in my life differently... like working harder in school, apply myself instead of goofing off. I may not have married my soon to be ex.... but if I changed too much I wouldnt be the person I am now.. and that would be a shame, lots of people love me :)

A lot of things. Going to College, not getting married so young, not going to Louisiana for two years, not befriending the people who have wronged me. Standing up for myself with an iron clad fist and not let people walk all over me.

it sounds like something happened to you to make you want to "eliminate" pedophiles and killers. i agree that they shouldn't be allowed to walk around but if you "eliminated" killers, wouldn't that turn you into a killer?

Awesome question...I would forgive more. I would listen to others and be slow to judge them. I would be more tolerant and care more. I would be less bitter and more compassionate. I would be more accepting of other's ideas, thoughts, lifestyles, dress, music. I would not judge a book by it's cover or a person by my own standards. I would give more love and not take less people for granted...especially those closest to me.

I would save my 16 month old granddaughter. She drowned in a backyard pool a little over 10 weeks ago. All because my "x"(a TOTAL failure as a grandparent!!!)...was SUPPOSED to be watching her (she didn't look for her for over 45 MINUTES) . We're STILL waiting for her to be charged with negligent homocide

I would save Abraham Lincoln because I think the country would be a better place had he lived.
