it for this project in chemistry. i cant find the price of carbon in the internet!!! help!!!!

carbon as COAL $90 a ton

carbon as gasoline, 30 cents a pound.

carbon as a diamond $3000 a caret.

carbon as carbon dioxide free.

Carbon in its most stable form, graphite... fills your pencil. So I would say it can be accquired very cheaply. You could also burn sugar and you'll have carbon residue, or for that matter burn just about anything and place an object above it, the soot that collects on the bottom is nearly pure carbon (of course it has some other things as well).

Go buy a bag of charcoal -- that's mostly carbon, and it's dirt cheap.

The problem with your question is that we don't know what form of carbon you want, for what purpose.
