I dunno why but if someone says to me "you can't do that" or "your not allowed do that" I have to do it, even if I didn't really want to do it anyway! I don't know if its to prove them wrong or just to be bold.... Any one else do the same thing??

You like to prove people wrong to show them that anything is possible. I have a tendency to do the same thing with many challenges that are put before me. It proves that you are comfortable with yourself and abilities, and that you like to try new and sometime dangerous obstacle's that arise in life. Just be careful about what you do and make sure it is not illegal or life threatening.

If you want an answer from a psychological perspective, it probably has something to do with your childhood. You were probably repeatedly told that you weren't able to do things for whatever reason ie. you're too young. so now as an adult, you prove to yourself that you can, regardless of anything. If you look back on your life you'll probably find the reason.

Its called rebellion. Sometimes a good force because it pushes for change. But, when you do something just because you are told you can't, thats a problem in accepting authority. Always ask yourself why some action or area is restricted. Might keep you safe, in the end.

I used to do the exact same things, even if it got me in trouble. For me, I just wanted to show people that I was strong and could do anything I tried, and that I alone controlled me not anyone else. I realize now always disobeying isn't always the way.

I'm the same way... When some tells me I can't do something, it makes me want to do it more to prove them wrg. I want to join the Navy Reserves. My bf was talking to my dad about it, and my dad laughed at the idea... That makes me want to prove him wrg. When I get like that, it only pertains to things I want to do... If it's something I don't care about, I won't bother.. But if it's something I want, and people doubt me, I want to do it more, and be the best at it...

I'm the same. if people never even mentioned it to me i wouldn't have considered doing it.It must be the curiosity of what will happen if you do it. When i was younger, if my mum went anywere, she'd close her bedroom door, and say 'dont go in my room'. so of course as soon as she was out the door, i went in. she never had anything to hide, so i dont see why she said it! maybe its the rebel in us!!!
Also the sense of satisfaction- im doing what u told me not to, and you'll never even know!!!! HA

It's called a sense of adventure. I don't mind well either. If you tell me not to do something, chances are I will turn a deaf ear. If you ASK me not to do something, and explain why - then maybe I will listen to you.

You like challenge. There are many others like you, intrigued by any challenge they meet. But you have to stay wise or else you fall into trouble.
