I am living in qatar,Middle East. Here most of the sites like photo.net etc. are blocked. So I used an anonymous website called kaxy.com. I am scared that it may cause some problems. I want to know that if we browse thru these anonymous sites can this qatar server find it out or get my location. Please explain about this briefly...

Kaxy uses SSL, so while your government may know that you went to Kaxy.com, they will have no idea what content you viewed while using that anonymous proxy.

However, I did notice that Kaxy.com does a poor job of disguising what sites you went to. For example, I used their service to see a website, http://www.donnyspi.com. The Kaxy URL looks like this: "https:// webproxy.kaxy.com/b/aHR0cDov L3d3dy5kb25ueXN waS5jb20="

That garbage at the end of the URL is "http://www.donnyspi.com" encoded in Base 64, which is trivial to decode. So, in theory, the government can detect what sites you went to. But they won't know what content you viewed at those sites. For example, if a webmail service was blocked, they could tell that you went there, but they couldn't see what mail you read and wrote.

Keep on surfing!
Also, you might want to find a lawyer...possibly even a western one.

Everyone has an opinon about the west, but the truth is the censor things less.

I'm not sure what the laws are in Qatar, but if the government tries to hurt you and you have a contact in a more free country, you might be able to get amnesty.

Good luck and keep on browsing!

Try Ultrareach, it unblocks any site and it's really good, I used to use it at school to get onto game sites that were blocked ;)

Teachers didn't know what to do...
They couldn't monitor what we were looking at
