What is your opinion about the mob in Julius Casear play and what role do they play?

The mob is Rome, they although simply and easily manipulated are what make Rome (the people in other words), and thus both Brutus and Anthony try to get the support of the mob.
The mob is also shown, to tell us the effects of Anthony speech on the people, after this speech they (the mob) kill Casca the poet mistaking him to be Casca the conspirator.

The mob is meant to be us - the audience; and us, the people. Ironically, the way Shakespeare reveals the mob in this play is analogous to the way kings and queens and all powerful persons of Shake's day manipulated their subjects. Funny how some things never change, as we find ourselves today being groped and violated from every side, not just the politicians but also the media. This kind of political management has been at play for as long as history has been recorded.
