Beckham has always been over rated his career and life would have been so much different had he no scored from the half way line, married a spice girl or got sent off during the 98 world cup. His entire career reads like a script from a soap opera and if he had just played and married a normal girl he would probably be playing for a smaller english club by now because the only reason he is still with madrid is based on the fact his image equals big bucks.

That's a bit harsh. I think he has played well for club and country and I support Man. City and Barca, so if I can be objective anyone can. He is still a good player and I'm Scottish so go easy on the guy.

he wont be missed
he was good - now there's better
our english clubs sadly aren't interested in the country as in the England squad. more for the premiership and how much they can pay them. Who ever agreed a footy player should be on £4k+ a day!

His best bet would be to retire, he was a great asset to English football, no-one wants to see him playing in the conference. Can't see he will need the money, if he does, then I suggest he sends his ***** out to work.

course he will be missed: sure he is over payed- but who else could have done the Greek moment? there is just too much on the one player. where was the rest of the midfield during the world cup? he only gets picked on because its the first name you think of when you think of English football.

he'll be missed for all the incomprehendable media buzz and his lack of creativity and genius in the field of play
