As a woman, I find that I get along much better with men. In fact most of my long term friendships are with men. I find that female friendships are quite demanding and there is too much catty gossip, especially if you're part of a group of female friends. All of my bad friendship experiences have been with women.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

I agree with you 100%...I have always gotten along better with men than women. I have never had a female friend who didn't back stab me.

I'm a woman and I get along better with men or really gutsy women. My avatar should make it apparent that I am female but I've been "accused" of being a male more than once this past month. (Especially on the phone) I was also a Marine, so some people read that and assume that I am a male. Peace.

Women are catty and indecisive most of the time and although I'm a woman, I find that I get along 100% better with men.

it would have to be men. as you pointed out, most females do "catty gossip". i abhor that.

LOL. you made me rethink again. i don't think it has something to do with the gender at all. i think it has something to do with the way our brain works though it can be correlated with gender.

someone above me mentioned that men seem to act differently when they are around women compared to when they are around men. that seems true. we tend to build this barrier with regards to what can be talked about, and what can't be when around the opposite sex...so i think that is why we don't talk trash. we only talk about things that matter...since neither gender can relate to a gender-specific topic.

with regards to my conclusion that it is brain dependent, well it goes back to my environment. i grew up with lots of uncles. went to high school with 21 guys as my brothers and only 8 of us girls. and now in college i have 2 bros and 11 sis. and i have fun with both genders. it's more rooted on the principles that we live by. and yes, my online friends are mostly (lol like 80%) guys.

I also get along with men better than women as well. My ladies friends are jealous of me and do things I do not like, so I am distant and and enjoy men friends with no strings attached.

most of the time is female friends who willing to be up to date with me, and who is fun out going type.
For the men, their willing to do whatever i tell them to do, but mostly their listen to me, because their think a girl can speak and a guy must listen.

Women for shore. It's easier to relate true feelings to the female gender.

Same here. I've always had maybe one or two close female friends and all the rest are males, for the very same reasons you stated.
