How do you use crystals for healing?

Best thing to do is buy a few books, the crystal bible tells you the properties of the main crystals and there are loads that tell you how to use them, about the chakras and the life force energy/ chi, auras etc. Or if you're really interested, do a home study course, the school of natural sciences do one and its a diploma, once you complete it you are a qualified crystal healer.
Always remember, it is an intuitive thing, if you feel like meditating with a great big pile of crystals on you then go with it, they cannot harm you if on the wrong place, the most that will happen is that you'll close your chakra up instead of opening it. You'll feel that it is placed wrong, listen to your inner voice!
The most basic way to use them is to place a clear quartz tumble stone in water to sip, it tastes different and feels cleaner. Honestly. Just remember to cleanse the crystal first, under running water is easiest.

Oh and a message for the christian guy who answered before me - it is not a black magic, it purely uses the vibration of the earth to cure our ills, we weren't always able to get hold of paracetamol so how do you think 'god' intended us to heal? The godfather of modern medicine focused on now-called alternaive therapies as much as conventional medicine, it was his followers who dumped the unconventional side. Alot of people, including Nasa, use crystals, their energy is not evil! And as you rightly pointed out, real christianity involves no judgement, so why are you judging this without knowing what it is? There is no nasty underworld that you suddenly get dragged into, it runs alongside the priniciples of christianity, with the archangels etc, etc, thats all you come across if you dig deeper into it, no demons in disguise!

Please consider the possibility that an evil force is what gives people the power to do these things. Yes, healing is a good thing, but what if it was simply a cunning way (from something sinister) to give you power that you shouldn't be messing with. In other words, something TRULY evil will not use black magic to draw most good people in...it will use something masked as good. Something that seems appealing at first until you become obsessed with it, or let it take you over.

White magic, horoscopes, astrology...seemingly harmless things making good people become powerful, until it destroys them. I have seen it with my own eyes...

There are other ways to heal. More powerful ways. Ways that involve a more powerful force that actually has YOUR best interest in mind! Jesus Christ. Ignore the hypocritical Christians out there...real Christianity involves no judgement, and the power to help others in many ways.

If you go to a store that has them(ex-a "good"witch shop) it usually has what each crystal means-luck,love, etc. It also comes with directions on what to do-carry it,put by your night table. There is plenty of info online or even in a bookstore

You need to have crystals for each Chakra to meditate and different crytals do different "jobs" its not a quick fix! If youare serious find a holistic healer in your area

you have to do alot of research into your Charka's and the energy centers of the illness that you want to heal.

it is a very interesting topic of study,, if you are hoping to heal yourself soon I wouldn't recommand it but if it's something you are hoping to learn more about it's a very intensive subject.
