Lots of liquids, esp. water and fruit juice. Alcohol dehydrates you, which is why the hangover. If you drink 2 glasses of water for each glass of alcohol during the drinking session, you won't have so much of a hangover.

The only sure 100% cure to never suffer from another hangover is to never drink to the point of inebriation! We do dumb things, but when it comes to paying the price for those dumb things, that when we suddenly get a brain. After you have suffered and gone through, do all you can do not to be caught there again. The best thing is a day off of work in a cool, dry, dark place with covers over your head to block the light which stops the pounding, and a large bucket.

try to make yourself drink at least the same amount of water as alcohol consumed that night before you go to bed. More if you can. It can be really hard work but it stops the dehydration which causes the hangover feelings. Then make sure you eat well the next day and get some carbohydrates into yourself. I have never had a hangover when I have stuck to this.

An effective way to more quickly and less uncomfortably recover from too much alcohol is to increase your blood oxygen saturation. Short of a convenient nasal cannula and 2-4 liters/minute of concentrated oxygen that one might have around, try deep breathing, especially during waves of nausea. Deliberately, methodically deep breathe about every hour for two minutes. That shortens the recovery process. Open a window and breathe some fresh air. To combat the severe dehydration and headache that follows alcohol, mix ice, a glass of water and a 30 cc grape juice or apple juice. Down it and one every other hour during the first eight hours. Then, eat carbs like cereal, rice, bread. Must eat something. Don't forget to do the deep breathing every hour.

Drink a bottle of water before bed with 2 naproxen sodium (I think it's the same as aleve...double check though). Sleep with a bottle of water next to you and drink if/when you wake up in the night. Drink a glass of orange juice and a cup of coffee with a piece of toast and butter in the morning along with 2 more naproxen sodium (unless it's only been like 2 hours...aim for like 4-6 hours). Then drink water all day. Keep a positive attitude!

A friend of mine swears on drinking a pint of water before bed and taking an aspirin, he says it always stops the hangover before it starts.
If I wake with a hangover I tend to drink tomato juice, it lines the stomach and helps with the dehydration which is what gives you the banging headache.

Drink hot tea when you feel as if you are having a hangover. The best cure for a hangover is not to have drunk the previous evening. Simple and easy!

Before you go to bed try to drink as much water to rehydrate yourself. If you wake up the next morning and you are still hung over and vomiting DO NOT DRINK WATER!!! This just makes more nasty acid in your stomach. Instead try to drink a clear soda like giner ale or sprite. This decreases the acid in your stomach insteda of increasing it.
