I'm sorry, but this question made me laugh! :D I'm sure there is more to this question than your saying, but the way you worded it made me laugh. ;) (I am in no way making fun of you. It's just that I had images of 6 armed creatures holding pencils and paintbrushes pop into my head......LOL!)

Seriously though, artists look just like everyone else. Some like to "dress the part" by wearing flashy clothing, gothic clothing, berets, whatever, but more times than not you'll find artists dress normally. I am an artist and I do not wear bright, flashy clothing. My clothing is actually quite plain. (I do not like sequins, beads, designs, or anything on my clothes. I prefer solid colors.) My hair is quite normal, not dyed, and lays nicely. Quite practical. I'm also not into wearing make-up. Does this make me a less talented artist? No. In fact, I am quite good at what I do. I just rather spend my time doing my work than "dressing the part." What I wear has absolutely nothing to do with how well I do my work. Just check out my work. Does clothing make the artist? That's up to you to decide. http://www.aprilameyette.com/

Art comes from the mind, the intellect, the soul. It does not come from pretty clothes or flashiness. It's not what's on the outside; it's what comes from the inside.

Messy, paint on his clothing, Hair slightly unkempt smelling a bit of paint ...HEY why do you want to know? but that is only the artist that wants to look llike an artist, arttists look like most ordinary people apart from that slightly unconventional manic glint in their eye. Also they will always look at something from several angles, and thery will carry a snall sketch book about with them to sketch scenes/ buildings, so that they can make finished drawings or paintings when they get to thier studio.

Artists look very similar to bigfoot, especially in terms of their feces matted unkempt hair, horrific smell, and lankey stance. Like bigfoot they are solitary creatures which can usually be found deep within the confines of old growth forrest of the pacific northwest. Typically the artist spends most of his or her day tending to their 100% organic reefer garden, searching for wild mushrooms, mystical mountain powerspots, and spotted owl skulls which make for great bongs. Like bigfoot, artist typically rattle the nerves of right wing rednecks with their liberal stance on public nudity and refusal to eat tasty meat products such as spooning mouth-fulls of jimmy dean sausage as if it were cookie dough. However, the redneck usually tolerates the artist as they are typically the biggest consumer of their trailerpark brew, i.e., meth. If you ever run into an artist run like hell because like bigfoot, although they dont eat meat, they have peculiar urges to gnaw on your kneecaps.
