Does anyone remember a tv programe with a man who had an electric sphere. It could turn into a car etc.?

I think it was from the 80's but not sure.
This electric blue sphere used to turn into cars and bikes that looked like cheap computer polygons. This allowed him to travel at high speeds. I also think if it touched him he could walk through walls.
