One week ago the Republicans were telling all who would listen that Mr Foley was a wonderful man. Now no one wants anything to do with him. Also, no one in Michigan admits to being a Republican. why?

Oh erudite, you're just taking shots in the dark when you can't think of anything else to gripe about as far as Republicans, the war or the Military.
Every Republican isn't responsible for Mark Foley, if the guy has committed a crime, law abiding Republicans aren't going to be proud of him, or support him. Just like we don't blame all Democrats for Clinton ignoring Al Qaida bombing the World Trade Center in 93 and the USS Cole in 2000 because he was to busy getting blowjobs in the Oval Office.

Mark Foley is a hero in the Republican ranks - - - they may be blasting him for his dastardly deeds but secretly they are ecstatic. Foley has fullfilled every American's worse nightmare; a 'closet gay'praying on young boys (actually ages sixteen seventeen eighteen), he is living proof that 'homosexuality is evil.' AND look what he had his lawyer announce; poor Mark was'molested by a priest.' Yikes - - - time to start witch hunting priests! And Mark 'blamed' alcohol ; more proof people should be embracing Jesus (only above the waist).
Once again the idea that sex in any form is bad has been reaffirmed - - - Geo W is thrilled.

Would you be proud of Mark Foley? Since it is only "alledged" that Mark Foley has been guilty of wrongdoing, we should now just forget about the press on him, and let him go through his "right" of the system and let the other person who was put in his place now do the job...He will reap his own " benefits" when found guilty...forget ALL about him now, except for the people who benefited adversly by his alledged behaviour

Hey, I am in Michigan and not a repuglican. John Engler if nobody else would prove my point, now a capitalist wants to become govenor, he has spent 16 million of his own money to buy the job. How the repuglicans got the majority in both houses in Michigan I will never know. Like you said very few people will admit to voting for them.

No one is proud of anyone who committed a crime (USA innocent until proven guilty please) but dont make this a republican hit thats unfair, his political party affiliation has nothing to do with who/how the person behaves. And stop with the broad slander statements against entire states. Get your facts straight.

they should be as proud as the democrats are proud of Ted Kennedy for killing Mary Jo 40 years ago, for Bill Clinton getting sex in the oval office, Bob Torrecelli for taking bribes and illegal gifts, Jim McGreevy for using state money to meet men in rest stops, etc.

He fooled his closest advisors. Since we are more inclined to think with common sense, of course we are not proud. WTF! This is a disgrace. Pedo's are #1 on my hate list. Don't confuse this as a 'Republican' thing because it is not. Every party has had its share of embarrassments. Don't be so narrow minded as to think all Republicans act as he does.
