We do need to keep our legs open a little because we don't want to crush the equipment. Surely you can understand that. Admittedly we don't need to spread them as wide as we sometimes do be we do need to spread them.
It's so comforting to hold and stroke it a little whilst watching TV. It increases the bliss of leisure time. Don't stand in the way of our happiness.

1. i sit many different ways, usually the crass are the first to sit like hogs/pigs/etc...i site with one leg over the other, one leg in an L shape over the other, etc...In all reality body gestures and postures do say a lot about a person, so without offending you if you are around a bunch of men that do and sit those ways, maybe change the kinds of people you hang out with?
2. I too have been intrigued by this, i have done it maybe once or twice in my life, usuallly to "adjust", i dont just sit around like that, however if my stomach hurts it does feel good to get some of the pressure releived off of that area (stomach)

Well, hon, let me tell you. Guys have these things called testicles and when we sit, it's usually uncomfortable to cross our legs like women and mash them together. That's why we usually sit with our legs open. Now as for men sitting with their legs wide enough to take up two seats, well maybe that's just the few men you've seen.
As for the sitting in front of the television with my hand jammed into my trousers, I can't say I've ever done that. It sounds more like an Al Bundy move from Married With Children.

Men sit with their legs spread because we have equipment down there. Until you have a penis you can't imagine how it feels to be a man, don't bother trying. Most adult males have beein in a posture that prevent damage to their testicles for so long that they're anatomically inable to cross their legs without surgery.
I couldn't tell you why we put our hands in our pants when we watch TV. I've never done it in my life or ever seen a man actually do it. If your hubby says it's comfortable I would assume it's not some elaborate conspiracy to conceal the truth.

1) Sitting with legs open too much is a sign of sexual aggression. It is also a way of claiming territory (as you stated, they can take up two seats). You are wrong when you say that every man does that, where I live it is impolite behavior, so I guess it's a cultural thing in your country.
2) Again, having your hand down your trousers would mean that you're jerking off and would be frowned upon here. Maybe where you live everyone is doing that in front of TV?

1) It is not a question of size, it is the position of the scrotum. It naturally rests between the legs and, unless we hitch it up (which women also object to) it would be squashed if we closed our legs. It can also be uncomfortable if the region between the scrotum and leg becomes sweaty, so we have to adjust ourselves. Sometimes we spread our legs so the scrotum does not stick to the leg.
2) I am not aware of any man who sits with hands down front of trousers. I usually sit with arms crossed or over chest, or on seat arms.

1. Well you are partially right about the "bits" down there plus also you have to take into account that a man's pelvis is turned differently from a woman's so what is comfortable for you might not be comfortable for us. It is just the way we are built differently. It is actually uncomfortable to sit with our knees pushed together regardless of which way we "dress" ourselves.
2. I prefer to sit with one hand on my leg (not crotch) and the other over the back of the couch, again it is a matter of what is comfortable.

The legs open thing is a pelvis thing, thats why women can sit in the lotus position and men the leg open thingo. It's one reason why men can run long distances quicker, you ladies have the wide hips for babies, that results in differant angles between the waist and the legs. how our legs "hinge" is differant. I think the hands down pants posture is just another example of us being pigs, we all do it, we're pigs.

In answer to 1 and 2, this is a natural evolved reaction to regulate the temperature of sperm, colder sperm are more active but if sperm get too cold they become less active. They need to be kept at a constant temperature so men have evolved this reaction to keep sperm at a constant temperature and the more fertile a man is the more chance he has of his genes passing through the generations.
