Hum log & Buniyaad on Doordarshan was best. Then came Mahabharat during its telecasting period, the whole street use to be empty. I was not mature enough then so I used to think how they bear such nonsense but now watching the serials of Ekta Kapoor it seems I was really a kid then.

I would say The Young and The Restless. Guiding Light and As the World Turns has been on a very long time but sometimes their storylines are boring or kind of dumb, but that doesn't seem to happen on Y&R.
