Um, no that's not entirely true.
Sperm that carry the Y chromosome (male sperm) are faster, but don't live as long as female sperm. Sperm that carry the X chromosome (female sperm) are slower, but live longer than male sperm.
If you actually want this information to be of any use, you have to use the timing method by first tracking your ovulation for several months to figure out what day of your cycle you actually ovulate. Then, depending on which sex you'd prefer you can time sex to give you the best chance of conceiving whichever one you prefer. It's not foolproof, but it gives you a slightly better shot than normal. There are books you can get that give you the full description.

No thats not true
The boy sperm is bigger built and has more protection against the acids inside the womb. if you have unprotected sex a few days before you ovulate you will likely have a boy as the female sperm deteriorate quicker having not as much protection. The female sperm is lighter but not faster as the male sperm is a stronger swimmer.

No, the fact goes as follows: female sperms swim slower and live longer than male sperms. So they say you have a better chance of concievinga boy if you have sex the very day you ovulate.

I have heard that as well, but, how are you going to know what speed the sperm is moving? do you plan to time it under a microscope to see which slides sperm moves faster?
don't tempt with nature, you are given the gift of whatever gender for a reason, that isn't something that you should try to tamper with.

I heard once that girl sperm lives longer than boy sperm so if you want to concive a girl to do it further from ovulation then if you want to have a boy.

NO......it just means that it may be a little harder for the sperm to reach the egg making conception more difficult.
