The World is no longer at ease.
There is no safe place under the sun.
All just in the name of religion.
If there are no religions, the world would have being more peaceful.
But I think there is no problem without a solution.
If the world powers could not team-up to difuse these escallating terrorist attack arround the world. then the war on terrorisim will be war without an end in sight.
"If you wants to take a Black Object from a child, you have to bait/decieve him/her with Red Object" that's food for thought. There is no way one can prohibit without making provision.

mmmmmhh I wonder if you could have written the same question at the time of the First Crusades? (apart from a piece of obscure child psycholgy that is ^_^)
I agree with your feeling that this is depressingly knee-jerk reactions to some terrorist acts, and as you must realise terrorism can be perpetrated at a State level as well as at an individual level and did not begin with 9/11.
You say freedom fighter branded terrorist... well observed. There can be no freedom fighters without loss of freedom. There can be no organised terrorism without injustice.
Certainly Bush and others are creating an escalation of terrorism, temporarily stayed as the initial defenses are put into place. But the long term solution is not fear and terrorism.

You've swallowed the red herring yourself if you're talking about 'terrorism'. The masters of distraction and illusion have waved their hands and you're dutifully looking the other way so they can get on with their mischief.

There is only one religion that is actually being fought over more than any other and it worships a god called MAMON (the god of money). The religion is capitalism, otherwise known as neoliberalism. Almost all of you and your parents are fully converted devotees. Check every single war and you will find that it is a manouvre designed to increase access to power and therefore to Mamon. Nobody fought a war that wasnt trying to increase their influence and access to wealth. That is the American way everybody talks about, you're living the American dream, do you like it? The greatest trick the devil ever played was to convince people he didnt exist.

Anyone who acuses people of overreacting in days like these is comatose. The rest are just asleep. We need a bit more reaction I think.

Wars are not fought solely on religious ideology although it is one of the 3 major causes. Eliminating religion would not eliminate war. There will always be countries who percieve another country as having more and will be willing to use any means to take that for themselves. As to terrorism. I do not believe terrorism can be completely removed from the world. Terror is very effective weapon. We can reduce the number of attacks though. We can also eliminate some of traditional causes which breed terrorist activity. Whether we can eliminate it or not, we cannot allow it to occur and grow unchecked. Terrorists must know that there will be consequences for their actions. Otherwise the world truly is doomed.

Not a chance! There will alwayss be someone ready to kill another over something. Unfortunately that is the dark side of human nature. Even if you took out all of today's factor like religion, nationality etc someone will always find, what they consider, a just cause to hate another, no matter how trivial it seems to everyone else. And there will alway be someone willing to take it further and involving violence no matter how disproportionate to the reason it may seem.

In other words, the only way to stop us making ourselves extinct is to try and keep it under control, which our government are crap at 'cause they are to busy joining in!

It's coming faster than you may want to think, however, its not an easy goal to achieve. It comes through one government, that way all the leaders can stop fighting about thier differences. Wiping out religion is NOT an option, we wipe out religion, God wipes us out, instead, everyone gets religion...But yes, peace will come, so will a new justice system, and a system that is for the people and by the people, not for the government and by the government.

since the written language began some 5,000 years ago - the world as a collective has only known somewhere in the region of 286 DAYS of peace. Religion is not wholly responsible - it is peoples greed

what do you mean "again"?
I think in the whole of human history there have only been 30 days without war or something, so a world at peace is probably a bit too much to ask.
Why don't you ask for a pony in stead.

If all countries agreed not to give safe haven to these terrorists that would be a starting point, also any Regime that sponsors these groups should be heavily sanctioned[I would prefer a change of regime], because these new terrorists do not discriminate as they murder Muslims as well as other faiths, and all peace loving people should elect politicians who will carry out these measures. I have no religious faith...

You're overreacting to the current events. The world has always been in turmoil. That's the nature of man. The global community has been rapidly growing smaller, and cultural pressures are creating more and more tensions.
You're right in one regard, war only adds to the tensions. Reason must be applied to solve our problems, not the sword.
