Click Start, Run, then type dxdiag.exe
Look around and see if anything complains...
If not reinstall DirectX from the MS website or your CD.

First try downloading the dll file from dlldownload.com and save it in windows directory. If this doesn't work reinstall directx

By accidentally u might have deleted that file. restart the system to boot from cd has windows and select repair option to solve.

it is about directx . this game requires directx 9 and you must be having lower version
