Hello my name is Michelle Timberlake. I was as of 9-27-06 a black female and only black female truck driver for Roadway Express here in Meridian MS. I had suffered a lot of discrimination as well as sexual harassment and harassment. I filed a complaint with EEOC about 6 months ago on racial discrimination and harassment and sexual harassment. I later in March filed extra charges because a white male by the name of Victor Quintero decided to take all of his clothes off and sit in the passenger side of the sleeper truck that we were in and asked me to masturbate with him. I phoned a job steward by the name of Ray Larkin who told me to report it when I got in. I did and hell has broken loose.
First I was called a liar so I asked that Victor and I take a Polygraph test. Roadway would not do it. Roadway Express because they offered me $100,000.00 and they wanted me to resign and they tell my colleagues that I left do to family problems. I refused and was set up to get fired om 9-27-06.

Hello Michelle. First of all - I would not encourage or condone you mentioning the names of your assailants and other concerned parties in your question - This is a breach of the ethics of confidentiality and may cause trouble if they are reading what you have written. Second: These acts should be filed in an official statement to the Police and perhaps your attorneys for proper investigation.
However - You should not have to tolerate these kinds of harassment in the workplace and your complaints should be dealt with at the highest level. There is also the bribery of $100,000 - I can assume they offered this to make you "go away". you were right to refuse. Another thing in your favour may be any unfair dismissal legislation in your country's workplace laws - You may be able to take your dismissal to court.

Take care.

I had to deal with sexual harrassment just a few weeks ago before i quit my job.

I was working at a place called Midstates Printing, here in south dakota. I was working the graveyard shift 8pm- 8 am. There was alot of older perverted men that worked there, and not too many females, and the females that did work there were alot older than me (I'm only 18) Anyways, I'd constanstly get commented on my butt, chest, yadda yadda... but the worst was this one guy named che'. He asked me to be his girlfriend, and before that i was nice to him because I'm pretty much nice to everyone. I turned him down because I was dating someone who was in Iraq, and plus I just didn't want to be Che's girlfriend anyways. He would follow me out to my vehicle during breaks and after work, he would come up to the stitcher i was working at and start stuff. It got so bad that he was spreading rumors about me, and when me and my 2 friends that also worked there would walk by he would yell "Here comes the c u n t squad." Which really offended me. I made 3 sexual harrassment charges, my 2 friends each made one. But yet, nothing happened, he didnt even work the same shift as me (it worked the opposite nights i did) and yet, they still let him work extra hours all the time on my days and bother me. The only thing they did was tell him about the accusations i made, so then the harrassment got worse. I eventually just quit, i didn't want to deal with the crap anymore.

because some men are dumb asses, they think with their ***** and not there brains, they think because they are men we women are susposed to always follow their leads whether it leads to hell or not and they still have minds that haven't really matured from being nine year old boys. but to u i say stay the course and don't cave in, file another complaint with the EEOC about the threat to your job don't let him or them win, this is a hard road you are traveling but know that you are not alone you have sisters all over walking with you, so don't give up.

I think I would delete this question. If you ever want to pursue this in a court of law, you probably don't want all these details being made public.

Remember, no one can intimidate you unless you let them. Be strong and the truth shall set you free.
