I can't really answer it either. I would want my husband and my daughter and my pastor too. hmmm.... And what about my cat!?!?!?! Can I have my cat as well as one person? She's not really human, you know. (-:

i imagine i'd spend an hour or 2 calling acquaintances and kin. then i'd spend some thing of day fantastic out with my husband. we would do boring accepted stuff like cleansing the living house together and going to the food market. Then we would spend the nighttime gazing videos at the same time as cuddling on the settee. Then we would make dinner together and take a bath watch yet another action picture and then off to mattress we would bypass.

Fascinating question.
I can't choose one person among my friends and loved ones--and, like an earlier answerer, I'm not sure I'd want to subject any of them to having to watch me die (although I've sat at three deathbeds--my mother's, my aunt/godmother's, and an old friend's--and considered it a privilege). If they were there, I'd like them *all* to be there--or as many as possible--so that they could support each other as well as me.
If I couldn't have that, then I'd choose to spend the day with someone I consider enlightened: someone like Ram Dass or the Dalai Lama. I'd hope that this person could help me approach the transition of death in an accepting spirit.

If I knew I was going to die, I wouldn't want to spends the day with anyone I knew because it would be hanging over my head every second I was with them. Also, to die infront of them is something I wouldn't wish on anyone I care about.
I would much rather spend my last day out talking to people that I'd never met, making friends and using my last few hours to make all the positive changes to people that I could, bringing smiles for no reason other than to make other people that bit more cheerful for a while.
I've never been one for morbitity- there's no reason why I should change that just because I'm on the verge of death!
Take Care - and remember, always smile at strangers.

My closest, best, most trusted friend.
The only person I can be true to.
The only person that really knows me and I don't have to pretend someone I'm not when being the two of us.
The person who knows every detail of my life and loves me for what I am.

That's a hard one, obviously. The dilemma is between my wife and my four kids. I suppose I would have to say my wife though. DAMN YOU FOR MAKING ME PICK!!!
