Dinosaurs evolved from archosaur ancestors about 230 million years ago during the late triassic.
Dinosaurs did not evolve from birds, but a group of dinosaurs did evolve into what we now call birds.

The common ancestor of Dinosaurs evolved from a lineage of amphibians that were better able to live on land without the need to breed in a watery environment, ie they developed a tough skin and leathery eggs to prevent dessication and more highly developed lungs.

They came from God, like all other things and people. Some (like me) may argue that they are still here. Lizards are trying to disguise themselves as little lizards to avoid reporters and the media. Well except for that Geico gecko. :)

well, no-one really knows, but they maybe evolved from anphibians just like any other lizard-thing. And some of them evolved into birds.
