Not necessarily. You have faith in your wife i am sure. It all depends on what you mean by 'personal' it could be interpreted in different aspects. How do you know that she is not asking this colleague on advice on a piece of work?

Depends what you mean by 'personal'. If it is about him, or them, then I would say if they are not having an affair, then it is flirting. But flirting can lead to something more.... Difficult one as if you ask her and its not true, then you have destroyed some trust. On the other hand it will eat you up unless you know for sure. Can you check anything else out, like text messages on her mobile, whether she is making excuses to stay at school (if they are both teachers)? Is she dressing up more, or bought new underwear? These are all signs of an affair. That said, I would comment that poetry is a pretty romantic and loving thing to do.....

Unless it's a link to a poem online that they're researching for some work related reason, I'd suspect at least something emotional is going on. I guess it depends on what the personal poem says...and why it's written.

Yes I might suspect it depending on the poems wording. Best just to ask her outright what the poem is about and why is she sending it to him. You might feel a bit foolish if it is totally innocent and she will feel like you dont trust her.
