It sounds to me like a lot of BS coming from people that are not very well informed. If the people that answered these questions would take the time to research issues for themselves and not always go off of what the media throws at them their answers would be much more intelligent.
The UN has always had a strong stance on countries with nuclear capabilities. Their position is a simple one. Basically any country that has an unstable government or multiple factions is looked upon as a high risk. Because so many middle eastern countries have such fragile governments and infrastructures there would be no way to establish control over weapons of mass destruction.
Unfortunately the UNs peace keeping forces are not unified enough to police these countries. at the same time the US tends to feel like it should be every-ones big brother.
Because governments change so often the US's loyalties also change. So basically friend today foe tomorrow. Sucks rocks but that's the way it is when you get involved in world wide politics.
Basically the way I see it, the old saying stands true. "If you mind your own business, you wont be minding mine." In other words, if countries where allowed to govern themselves and in turn if certain countries would stop trying to force their religious and political beliefs on other countries the world would be a much better place.
When it come right down to it who knows what eval lerks in the harts of ordinary men?

Because Iran funds Islamic terrorist groups.
Because Iran has enough natural gas and petroleum within it's borders to make nuclear power redundant in terms of electrical production.
Because Iran has deliberately hid it's nuclear program to a degree that isn't consistent with their assertion that it's just for electrical generation.
Because Iran is a signatory of nuclear nonproliferation treaties that obligate international inspections of nuclear facilities to assure that they are being used exclusively for power generation. Iran has refused to comply with its obligations with regard to said treaties.
Because Iran has been developing missile technologies that would allow it to threaten more and more of it's neighbors.
Because Iran's government is a cabal of crooked medievalist clergymen masquerading as a legitimate government that can not be trusted not to use nuclear weapons for purposes other than deterrent defense.

I feel sorry for very narrow-minded people who believe whatever their stupid president and his media inject to their tiny minds! Bush problem with the nuclear power of Iran is that our country won't accept to live by the American laws,it's not because were are muslim! USA has very good relations with muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Emirates because they are paying the price and have unlimited access to oil! Pakistan is a muslim country but it recieves donation from American government! Iran has access to oil, that's right! but our biggest fear is that it's running out and in the next fifty years we won't have any more resources! We are aiming for peaceful use of this energy and we don't have nuclear bombs like USA and Israel, ready to send them with love and kindness to the countries in Asia, specially the middle east! It was not a Islamic country who ruined Hirushima and Nakazaki! Even the radical muslims are not a threat to western countries. The only threat to your beloved USA is your president who shows no mercy even to his own people to get to his filthy targets! No country can decide for another country! Iran has the right to have nuclear power and use the latest technologies, like any other country in this world!

USA actually started the war with Muslims. Iran is one of the strongest nuclear nation with Muslims controlling it. USA and Iran had bad pasts and now USA is paranoid. Pakistan too is a strong nuclear nation, but USA is confident enough that Pakistan will always obey the USA bcs USA has always been injecting huge monetary funds to Pakistan for FREE.
USA is paranoid with Iran bcs, if Iran continues to research on Nuclear, they one day will be the biggest threat to USA as form of Retaliation.

Nuclear power? They hardly have a problem with a lack of energy. They want the bomb and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what they will do with it. The radical muslims say they want to kill all the infidels. Don't you believe them?
