First off just like to point out that as far as Martinez is concerned, he's been on the DL for most of the season anyway 4X to be exact and we did it without him all year just about. Second, a subway series would be very possible and always exciting of course me being a New Yorker, but I feel for Detroit coming in as they did, and breaking their a ss e s all season, I would like to see them against the Mets because they deserve to be there. More than the Yankees they just worked harder, Sorry people!

With Pedro gone and El Duque hurting the chances of a Subway series are pretty dim. But you never know.

G'day Site23,

Thank you for your question.

The answer is quite possibly. The Yankees have got their big bats and if they keep the best lineup in the field, they will be a big threat in the next month. The Mets have played well all season. Both teams have got the best record this season but there are six other teams aiming to spoil the party.

Regards

Yankees, yes!! Mets, with Hernandez maybe being out, it's hard to say. Dodgers are hot right now so I think it's too soon to tell.

It would be nice to see but with Hernandez going down yesterday it's going to be difficult for the Mets. They have lost half their pitching staff.
