I have planned something special but there is one thing that I am still unable to make a decision about. Actually, I will write the lyrics of a love song on a card that I will insert in his laptop bag with kinder surprise before he goes to work, then I'll play the very same song the moment he gets back home in the evening with candles and stuff...
Anyway, I just can't think of a nice love song, I know there are thousands, but I just can't think of one that is very special with nice words and nice melody. I don't want it to be very well known like endless love or eternal flame. I want something different that we are not already bored of!
any suggestions?

There was one by Lionel Richie, "I just called to tell you I love you", and Olivia Newton John, "I love you", or "I truly love you", these were back in the 80's... Dr. Hook has some love songs, Eddie Rabbit "I love a rainy Night", Nat King Cole had some good love songs, one was harmonized with his daughter Natalie, which she took one of his old songs and harmonized with her dad, who has been dead.

Try something easy listening. Maybe look on the net for little know artists, they may have some suggestions.
