Yes there was, it was sung by Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm and it was a Top 5 hit in early 1987

'Midnight Blue' by Lou Gramm was his first solo single outside his group, Foreigner something like "....midnight blue - ohOH...gonna paint it cherry red..." :-)
