Imagine that red balloon that you had in you birthday party?
It's full of air that I'm calling a universe.
It has billions of molecules inside I'll be calling galaxies.
Trillions of atoms I'll be calling star systems.
One of them has a core that I'm calling the Sun.
Around it spin several electrons that I'm calling planets.
I even have names for each of them.
If I lived on one of these electrons called Earth for just a millisecond of your life would you know it?
Would I know you?

I'm not crazy. I just wonder how this question makes you feel. Our perception of the world depends a lot on size doesn't it?

I'm not saying that there are small people living on electrons .
I'm asking you to look at yourself from that scope. The Earth being an electron and human history just a milisecond in the history of universe.
How would you answer then to questions about god, about the meaning of life, about time or any of the frequent questions in this section?
Size does matter in philosophy maybe more that …elsewhere but there are few theories that include its effects.
However funny answers are welcomed too!!!

So... are you saying size does matter? (LAUGH)

I do grasp what you mean, and I have been poking along a similar line regarding the relationship between a higher "Consciousness" and human beings, that it would be very hard for us to up a few levels of our consciousness to understand such being -- if that is not too far fetch an idea. No doubt it would be difficult also for the reverse direction if such being cares to look for us.

As for your question, I suppose human beings are still at the level where we could not sense directly at the level of electrons, but one day we might -- thou by then you would be gone according to your line of thought.

Two molecules were talking. One said, "I lost an electron." The other one said, "Are you sure?" The first one replied, "Yes, I'm positive." :-)

I don't think size is the determining factor when it comes to perception. The determinant would be our velocity and duration relative to others who are on the same sphere that we are on. Everyone on Earth has the same concept of, say, how long 60 seconds lasts, because we are traveling at the same rate on the Earth's surface as it rotates on its axis--and this period of time can be measured by the same standards among all who live on the same sphere we live on. To answer your question, we would know that you existed on Earth if all other variables of distance, rate and time were the same for the rest of us, and I can't see how any of these would change significantly to create any perceptible differences that would not allow us to know who you are and that you exist.

Many, many years ago, a man named Rod Serling made a TV series called the Twilight Zone. And on one of those episodes a group of people were carrying out all sorts of evil trying to take over the world. And at the end, we discover that their whole universe was enclosed in a gravy stain on someone's tie. You and Mr. Serling think alike. Congratulations.

Consider this: It is well known that the space/time continuum is curved. The curvature occurs as a result of the influence of mass against movement in time (recently, it has been possible to detect this curvature). As three-dimensional beings, we perceive time only as a result of memory. We remember what was as a variable interval from what is now. If we had zero memory, we could not detect time - we would exist only for the moment.
