1000Euro /months will be relatively tight but you can make it. accommodation will be from 300 to 500/months, maybe a bit more in the randstadt.

My son is a student in Delft. He gets a state allowence. In the Netherland the amount depends on how rich your parents are. Unfortunately I"m not rich enough to pay for his study, so he gets the full amount from the state. This is about 800 euro per month. this is enough to study and to live. Of course you can't have expensive holidays, you can't ride your own car, etc. but neither can I.
I haven't heard any complaints from him, so I guess this is enough.

1000 euros per month would be sufficient including accommodation. If you plan to share accommodation you can survive for around 600-700
