I have more money, I have better skin, my blood pressure dropped, my pulse rate dropped,I don't feel like a nuisance from having to take a smoke break, and most importantly, I never would have become an endurance athlete and had the marvelous adventures I have had.

Good question. I quit 13 months ago after smoking every day for 26 years. Yep, tis true. Life is sooooooooooooooo much better without cigarettes because:

Now, my hair smells great
My breath smells much better
The color of my skin of my face actually looks better (truth)
Before I quit, I could barely walk a 1/4 mile in 40 minutes. I now walk 3.3 miles in 45 minutes, every day.
My car smells better
No more annoying hacking cough in the more.
No more constanst throat clearing
No more sore throats
No more sinus headaches
Much more lovin ;)

I could go on for hours but basically there is NOT ONE bad thing about quitting. And for the one person out there that doesn't want to quit because they think they will gain weight, I'm here to tell you that I've lost weight since I quit because I can do so much more.

I used to smoke weed regularly. I decided to quit six months ago and so far I've been successful but I still think about smoking very often. I miss it but I know I don't really need it. It's just the craving we get like when we crave candy bars or ice cream but we're not hungry in reality. I also miss my friends who are always high. I don't have much to say to them anymore. The feeling will be with us for long, but be patient. Also, try not to develop another addiction to cope, like tobacco. It defeats the point of quitting. Instead, take walks or exercise when you're thinking about getting some pot. Talk to someone on the phone or visit someone, don't be alone thinking about it. Being outdoors has been very helpful for me, I'm more social and healthier now just by jogging in a local park instead of getting wasted.

My filthy cough disappeared after only 1 week. I can walk without getting as puffed out as I used to and my clothes and hair don't smell. Also I don't feel like a social outcast, and I feel I am setting a good example for my grandchildren. I don't constantly think of smokes and I have more spending money.
Unfortunately I put on 2 stone in the first 6 weeks. Now I eat all the time and that seems to be my addiction.

for sure. I didn't realize how cigarettes smell until i quit. all my blankets smelled of them, clothes, etc. I can breath much better,I can walk to places without loosing air. since my daughter's been pregnant, she has stopped smoking and even her car lost it's smell of smoke. the smoke use to come out of her air conditioner. everything is better without the cigarettes. the good thing about being pregnant for me and my daughter is that when we are pregnant, the body will refuse us the ability to smoke, as soon as I try to smoke pregnant I would get sick so the same thing has happened to my daughter.I am not pregnant,I just quit.

Definitely! I'm not always thinking about the next cigarette, my clothes & home don't smell, extra cash each week, I can walk up the stairs without being out of breath, and I'm still amazed at how much better foods taste.
