I'm moving to Oklahoma in 2days and I've heard so many mixed things about it. Can someone please help me out by telling me anything you know about the schools, shopping, neighborhoods, anything you know. I'm moving to a city near Tinker Air Force Base. I'm not sure what city yet, I'm thinking maybe Norman. If you know any thing about this area please feel free to tell me. Good or bad.

I'm an Oklahoma native and I love it. I am very fortunate to have been reared in this state. I come from a small town near Norman. The school systems are excellent as is higher education. Norman is the home of The University of Oklahoma. It has a mall and several eateries. It's a very nice town. Oklahoma City offers a lot of the benefits of a city with the feel of a small town. There is excellent shopping and many eclectic boutiques all throughout the city and surrounding areas. Also, there is Bricktown in OKC. It has expanded a lot with night-life and eateries and is still growing. You should venture there and take a trip down the canal. I think it's wonderful here. Of course my opinion is a bias one! I hope you will enjoy it here!

If you are moving close to Tinker then that would be either Del City or Midwest City, which are suburbs of OKC. Oklahoma is a great place. OKC has many wonderful attractions and there is always something to do. We have good schools, although our teachers are some of the lowest paid on the national pay scale, unfortunately. I think you will like it here, give it a shot.

I have only visited Oklahoma once in lifetime for a funeral and the place was very beautiful to me and the people very nice. The air was fresh and scenery great. I would not mind staying in any parts of oklahoma.

I choose the better low key states. you recognize: Tennessee, Colorado, Montana. places like that the position it really is not any longer so aggravating each and each of the time. yet then there are moments once you opt for to bypass out and characteristic a wild evening on city. So i guess it really is nice to have a city accessible.
