I'm not really System of A Down or Linkin Park fan myself but try these....Soil (they have a new album out now "True Self"), Bullet For My Valentine (the best metal band out there right now), Avenged Sevenfold (try their older stuff, much more in your face), and As I Lay Dying.

Sorry but I have to comment about a couple of these answers.
First, Him San....The definition of angry music is not "death metal" in fact that's not even an official term, just one dreamed up by the public eye. Most modern metal if you actually listen to the lyrics is not dark but actually has positive messages about overcoming the odds. I don't understand how you or anyone can even think Metallica is "death metal" especially "Enter Sandman"?
Come on.
Second, Chimaera...Awsome dude, I am so siked to see that Bullet For My Valentine is being heard and the word is being spread. Rock on!!!

The definition of angry music? Death metal. I dont know so much about modern stuff but the darkest and angriest is the old. I'm talking about bands like Dio, Metallica, Guns n roses. Also look up Fear Factory, and Papa Roach. These two songs i'd say are some of the angriest yet best i know:
4 horsemen of the apocalypse (can't remember the band)
Metallica - enter sandman
enjoy!

It depends if you just want something really heavy or if you want something that lyrically fits your mood.

If you want something quite heavy but still listenable try a melodic death metal band like In Flames, Soilworks or Scar Symmetry.

Heavy metal bands like Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Atreyu and Nevermore are good aswell.

If you want something a bit more lyrically relevant try a band like Rise Against, 3 Days Grace, Alkaline Trio or early Green Day stuff

One song you could listen to if your in a bad mood is "I hate everything about you" or "home" by Three Days Grace [but thats if you hate your bf at the moment or hate where u r]

Also another good song you could listen to if you feel like you have the worst luck could be "God Must Hate Me" by Simple Plan
