Depends on what country you're in for a start.

Then consider:

1. How much you want to pay as a maximum each month.
2. What balance you want between free minutes and free texts

Depending what you answer to these will affect which company is best for you.

Typically I've found that 02 are cheapest for good text message contracts, but their client service is patchy - sometimes they're helpful sometimes they're useless!

I found the best way for me was to decide how much you want to spend each month, which phone you like then have a wander round the stores vodafone, 02 ect and see what each one offer write each one down then take time to compare each one, dont make a decision in store, then go on line and order there as you can get extras/freebies on line for the same tariffs. I can recommend the Sony Ericson k800i. Good luck Andrea

First of all decide what you need in terms of minutes etc and how much you can afford, also think about what handset you would like and any extras such as hand free kits etc. THen do research on the internet. Go to your local shopping centres and see what they will offer. Remember that many of the mobile phone shops will match or try to beat deals from other shops so if you see a good deal (online, in the paper or in a shop) get it in black and white and try to do a deal with the other shops!

Good luck and enjoy bartering!

I think the T Mobile Flext is a good one. Im on that at the moment.
I pay £45 per month (you can get cheaper and more expensive ones) and for that they give me I think £300 of credit. You spend that credit how you like. Like texts are 10p and then the calls. So you are not limited to just sending say 50 texts or 120 minutes of calls etc. You spend it how you want.

The more you pay per month the more credit you get.

I'm with 3 and find them to be one of the best. Have found, through past experience, that vodaphone and orange are pretty poor. It depends what you want from your contract, i.e. what you use your phone most often for.

have a look on all their websites. Avoid going to a company that sells them all as they will try to sell you a specific make depending on the commission that they receive for that sale.
