Here in the UK I see so many pairs of womens shoes I wish I could have but find they only retail up to a max of a size 7 or 8 for mainstream fashion and in a select few stores up to a size 9 or 10.

FYI I am a guy in touch with his feminine side and have a total adoration for hosiery and ladies shoes, in particular heels. There are lots of girls out there with feet size 9 and over, I am a size 9 and find it soooo frustrating that I always seem to be a size out. Surely the shoe industry must realise that not just women with feet up to a size 7 enjoy fashionable and sexy shoes in feminine styles. AND the range of colours too... sigh I better stop before I get carried away. Oh, and for anyone who says this... I know there are loads of online retailers specialising in larger ladies shoes (I have a rather large collection of boots and heels!) but I really dont always want fetishistic stilettos. Just a sensible pair of 3 or 4 inch courts in a modern, fashionable style would suffice.

The manufacturers have a mistaken belief that the whole human race is, as far as women are concerned restricted to size 7, sometimes you can get size 8 but they are quite rare.
It is the same with men's shoes, they stop at size 11. some enlightened shops sell size 12. Any bigger and you are into a search situation. My local shoe shop, at my request started to sell 13 and higher. Their turnover went sky high and they then advertised on the net and have 1000's of orders every year.

OMG....lol To funny, lol Sorry, but I cannot stop laughing from the Clog comment, just picturing you running in Holland clogs makes me laugh so.... in a size 7, 8,or 9. If you don't believe me read kevthe's comment for your self, you will be laughing also, I know it is a joke comment really, but now I forgot what I was going too recommend, sorry.

In all seriousness now, my sister has big feet (8 1/2) she orders on-line,( and buys in shops when she finds them) they do have very pretty and high heeled shoes in most on-line shoe shops, she has a nice collection. I'm sorry about kevthe's comment making me laugh so much, Take Care

Try "Big Tall Sally" for clothes and shoes. Women's` feet are getting larger so hopefully the demand will increase and a better choice will be available. My mother was very tall and wore a size 8. Back in the early sixties, she said it was impossible to get that size in women's shoes; she had to have all her shoes made, which was financially tough,. as my father was the only breadwinner, very few women worked back then, so there was only one wage going into the house..

Not that its any help to you, but where I live in SW London there is a shop that specifically sells shoes in larger sizes, up to size 13 I think, and they have all different styles

Because - I'm an overweight person so have the same problem with clothes - it's all about making money these days, so they aim at the group of people who will buy most, ie if there aren't many people to buy the size they don't bother.
