so i was wondering if there was a way to still keep the music but just get rid of their software?

Yes of course, you simply need to find the songs on your 'my limewire' folder in your computer and save them to a different computer folder, then you can uninstall the program and your music will be safe. You might also want to run an spyware program on your computer afterwards as limewire is very invasive to your machine. :)

Lol, you get viruses from limewire provided which you acquire a music that has an endemic on it. often for an endemic to be on a record, the guy who uploaded the music to limewire, made the virus and placed it on the music. you will get many categories of viruses from limewire. To do away with them, you will would desire to apply your the virus application on your computer.

Just move the songs to another folder, and voila you can uninstall Limewire.

open limewire,Go to library and see the Downloaded song's locaion eg: f:\limewired then copy those songs to somewhere esle and uninstall it (limewire)
