My friends using same modem gets 45-50 kbps speed but i usually get 15-20 kbps only.What should i do to increase my speed?Any software problem or telephone line problem.Help please

Disconnect Modem and Install LAN card with Ethernet Adapter then Enable Lan card with 100 Mbps Cable Line connection from local cable provider. Make sure it is a Dual (Duplex) Line

Probably noise on your telephone line. And not always is this noise audible to the human ear. Contact your telephone company. They will check the line from the CO (central office) to your phone for you.

you get only 15-20 kb/s, this is depends on your connection speed, in this case you can contact internet service provider, this problem is from internet service provider,
