Dont worry about it - you're not hugely overweight as you said - we all have these binge eatings - my falldown is with ice cream - its just a way of treating ourselves and its nothing to be ashamed of! Dont feel bad about it!
If you dont have a particular preference to your binge food try splurging out on something low in calories like pop corn or weight watchers products.
OR
Just put in an extra hour at the gym after you have your binge - you'll feel better in yourself then! xx

Try to figure out why you are bingeing. Does it happen only at certain times, after specific events, with certain situations, in specific places? Many use bingeing as a response to something happening in their lives that they just don't know how to handle. If you can figure out a different way of dealing with a situation, you won't need to binge. This may sound simple, but it really can take quite a bit of work both to understand the reasons behind bingeing and to then substitute another behavior. A therapist can often help sort out the situation.

I think everyone has binges in some way or another with food, I'm like a shark I go into a feeding frenzy eat to much then feel sick half an hour later. the best way to control it I have found is to just think about food as fuel and nothing else, helps you be realistic about how much you need. also just have diet foods in the house so if you do binge at least you are eating just good stuff that isn't gonna pile on the pounds, above all don't worry too much. also if you go to the gym, put the calorie burn counters on when on the treadmill etc then look at the content in the foods you are about to eat, its a greta leveller if you think to yourself crikey what I'm about to eat represents 40 mins hard slog on the treadmill

Is there a trigger that makes you binge eat? For me, its when I am upset. But I am now aware of this, so if I have stressful moments, I go to the gym instead. If I crave chocolate, which I often do, I have some, but not enough to spoil my diet. Look at the times you have binge eaten and ask yourself what was going through your head at the time. If you can identify what makes you do it, its easier to see when you are feeling weak and do something about it instead of spoiling you hard work at dieting.

Try not to think about food! Put you mind into something else, like a book. Sometimes we associate food with some else like coffee, t.v. Take away the association and you should in effect take away that too. Also there could be an under lying problem maybe your sad about something and the food comforts you! Its not bad that your eating, its the fact that you think its bad which in turn makes you do it more. If that sound crazy.. have a think about it. 7lbs is nothing just buy elastic trousers.. hehehe tc.. You will be fine.

Over-eating is an habit, searching on the circumstances. once you've emotional trauma on your previous, counseling or a help crew might want to correctly be needed, and there are a variety of of obtainable. in case you've faith your self to be emotionally healthful, then the answer i'd propose might want to be to take in a elementary espresso (which includes type of a similar volume of caffeine as a sweet bar) with a packet of Splenda (to fulfill the sweet teeth.) Caffeine is an urge for nutrition suppressant, and espresso has minimum energy, plus water-depending products have a tendency to fill the tummy a lot swifter than good meals/sweet. also, this habit might want to satiate your caffeine restore even as at the same time make you sense extra complete and reducing your urge for nutrition. Be recommended; I suggested a elementary espresso.

You could get some advice from organisations that deal with eating disorders, even though you appear to have a very mild problem in the scheme of things, and you are not making yourself sick afterwards. I'm worried that because you feel so bad, you may not be far off making yourself ill to relieve the guilt and the shame. This link might help.
