if you have i-tunes seven (www.apple.com) then if something is on your ipod but not in the itunes very own list, the tune player will ask you a question: IE there are somethings that are on your ipod but not in our library would you like for them to be add?
and you of course hit yes! lol
i hope this helps.

Apple is very anal about "sharing" music so they don't really let you directly transfer music from ipod to computer. However, there are two ways around this. 1) I have seen software programs (about $20) that will let you do this. Last place I saw one was at Target. This would be the easiest way. 2) If you open up your ipod as a harddrive (using My Computer if you are in Windows), and change the folder settings to show hidden files, you willl see hidden folders with your music. However, it is organized in a strange fashion, with 99 folders. The songs are scattered throughout, but the mp3 files aren't really labeled so it would be a pain to try to sort them yourself. Basically, bust out the money and buy a program that lets you do it.
