They need Emily to keep the quartermaine name young and vibrant in the show. It is a linch pin in the saga and she is and A.J are the only ones with the name, even though she is adopted and his son is being raised by a mobster under another name, Morgan. They are not likely to kill her off. They are more likely to get her abducted and recast the role come contract time.

I don't really hate any of the women on GH. AMC and OLTL is another story. I can't stand Ericka and Kendall on AMC. I can't stand Natalie on OLTL.
I suggest you buy a TIVO, record your show(s), and fast forward through the parts with Emily. (That's what I do when Ericka, Kendall, or Natalie are on)
