is there any time stipulation or any server problems occur?i mean to ask that lesser gb systems may be 10gb could >be problem?

though the question is not clear,
I have kept my home system switched on and connected to the Internet for months at a stretch. Interruptions in middle were only caused due to power failures (common in India). Instabilities in home machines are caused by weak SMPS.
We once deployed a server (wipro) and kept it switched on for 2 years without a single poweroff incident. Instabilities if any in servers are primarily software (buggy OS, buggy apps).
