What was the great compromise?

Explain one of the main differences of opinion the delegates had, and how The Great Compromise sorted it out.

Large states wanted population to be the power priority, smaller states wanted all states to share equal power. The creation of two houses, one by population, the other equal by state is simplistically the compromise.
