Since it is still around, not too successful but are there less poor childern than before? Yes.

He has set himself an impossible objective, because, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CHILD POVERTY. It is the parents or guardians of children that have an economic status, children per se, do not have an economic status.

Referring to the economic status of children as though it were somehow independent of their parents is a ruse used by left wing governments to promote the idea that they should have direct control over children, thereby bypassing the authority and control of parents.

Notwithstanding the above, poverty is not an absolute thing, it is a relative thing. In other words if everyone had a million pounds, then those with only two hundred thousand would be regarded as poor. However, please do not fall for this notion of "Child Poverty".

No idea, but charity begins at home and all the kids here should be sorted before we start helping the 3rd world with their problems.
