The november elections are coming soon, and they I was wondering how many people have forgotten to register. The deadline for some states may have already passed, but some have not. Will everybody try to put the word out?

I've been registered since I was 17, and I regularly pester everyone I know who isn't registered to get on the stick and do it already. This year, our church is sponsoring a voter registration drive and discussing the issues on the ballot as well.

Any time is a good time to register to vote even if the deadline has passed for the next election:

Excellent that you are trying to get the word out. It's maddening when people don't vote and then complain about how things are. Voting doesn't always get what/who we want, but at least we know we tried to have a hand in it!

And yes, I've been registered to vote since 19ahem-something ;-)

Since the DAY I turned 18, and I've exercised my DUTY (voting is a duty!) every single election....and as an FYI, if you don't KNOW the candidates don't vote for either, you can go in and vote for only (example) president....TOO MANY people think they have to fill out the whole form...TOO MANY people then vote for whomever had the neatest signs, the coolest TV ads....

RESEARCH PEOPLE!....request an absentee ballot then get on the internet and google the candidates and educate yourself as to their issues...pros and cons

The internet is the KEY to education (if used correctly and you know when you're being scammed or fed do do)...use it!

Good for you.
Get out and vote.

BUT - I really like the way AARP has promoted the upcoming election with their "Don't Vote" ad.
It is really good and tells us to learn about the candidates before voting.
