"Stacy's Mom" became a hit partly due to its music video, which features several comedic scenes illustrating the boy's attempts to get closer to the object of his affections and fantasies, played by model Rachel Hunter. In the video, Stacy is played by Gianna Distenca and the boy is played by Shane Haboucha. It also pays homage to the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High: the boy masturbates to Stacy's mother coming out of the pool. Stacy catches him masturbating to her mother and, differently from the character of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, she starts to laugh, because she thinks he's doing it thinking of her.
