Laugh at life, and find the good in every bad experience. When you take nothing seriously, in your subjective reality, nothing bad can happen, preventing all tension. Oh yea, also quit your 9-5 job and school. They are factorys, breeding a unstopable cycle of tension.

Stress is a normal consequence of life. Stress is what makes us resilient, strong, unflappable. You ever notice how some people are calmer in crises than others? The strongest oak endures the strongest storms. We need stress for without is we would be very weak emotionally. So stress is a good thing. Tension on the other hand is our reaction to stress. Tension says I am overwhelmed. We all feel overwhelmed when we are tired and feeling bad. That is when we are most vulnerable. We are subject to irritability, cursing, and moodiness during these times, and take it out on innocents.
Getting a good nights sleep; eating wholesome food (fruit once a day plus chlorophyll source and balanced diet), listening to peaceful music, reading uplifting books, and getting away from the stressful situation to see that life is more than that job, etc. Been there; done that. We can face the stresses of each day much better when we feel good. And remember, live in the now. You have strength for the NOW but don't try to lift the tomorrows with it. Worry is the sorriest predictor of the future. As far as fortune tellers go, worry sucks. It's prediction rate is pitiful. Worry about today only, if worry is in your nature. Worry cannot effect now or later. It only makes the worrier miserable. Changes nothing but adds tension to one's life. Visualize a garbage can with a lid. Whenever a worry or fear thought comes, throw it in there. Put the lid back on. Also repeat as a mantra some affirmation that is uplifting during the day. It can be Scripture, a poem, some wisdom, whatever. The only requirement is that the affirmation is something you believe deep down. But remember, stress makes you stronger. Lifing weight puts stress on the muscles and this stress makes the muscle stronger. Worry is a waste of time. Big difference.

You will never be free from all of the tensions, but you CAN control how you deal with them. Suggestions...
Listen to music
Practice your faith
Take as many mental health breaks as you can
Hug as many people as you can and tell them how you feel about them
Go for a walk in the mountains, riverside, on the beach
Pat your cat, dog, iguana hundreds of times a month
Laugh long at life, find humor in everything
Volunteer for anything

I think 6 feet underground in a nice wooden casket would help most

either by finding Illumination, Buddah-like - but apparently he was one of the very, very few people who ever found it, so the odds are quite low i'm afraid.
or, by dying. But I'm in no hurry, and you probably aren't, either.
