crop circles made my aliens with weak bladders - hey they travelled a long way and they must have been bursting.

If it is circles, yes a female dog usually. If it is just here and there type of a thing, not a constant yellowing. Yellowing could mean that your lawn needs more iron. It sounds like a dog, however. There is dog repellent that you can get that might work, but don't know if you would have to go over the whole yard, you just have to catch him or her, and take it to that owner to do something about.

Another possibility:
What kind of grass do you have? How big are the circles? Are they filled in?
If you have St Augustine grass, those circles could be "faire rings" or brown spot. This is caused by a fungus that activates when the night time temperatures drop into the 50's. If this is your problem, you will need to treat with a fungicide.

Could be neighbours dog or cat using your lawn as their toilet or if dry it may just be dead grass. I have this problem occasionally, good luck
